Improvements

My prototype was successful due to it communicating my overall idea and concept.  However, there are many improvements that need to be made.  Within the pages, the 3D musical instruments  create a blank white space in the page preceding it.  In addition to solving this issue of white blank space, I need to create a theme within each page through a color and texture system. This system will largely parallel the story that my book will ultimately present.  

My existing prototype also needs to resolve the issue of binding.  Currently I was using one ring that connects all my pages together, however, in thinking about possible solutions, my next model will most likely use a wire binding system.  Hopefully this will create a more streamline and efficient way of turning the pages.  

Lastly, my prototype, aside from being tied together via similar shapes and bright colors, has no unifying concept within the pages.  This will be improved by adding words in order to create a journey the reader can take as he or she moves through the pages.
